An Act to re-appoint the Honorable Francis
Scott to be the Agent for the Colony of New

South Wales for one year. [3rd August, 1849.]

t h a t t he said Franc i s Scott shall a t t end and conform to such ins t ruc­ WH E R E A S Scott to be the A g e n t for t h e Colony of N e w South Wales and
it is expedient to re-appoint t h e Honorab le F ranc i s

t ions as he may from t ime to t ime receive from the Commit tee of Correspondence t h r o u g h the Speaker of t he Legislative Council Be it therefore enacted by H i s Excel lency the Governor of New South W a l e s wi th t he advice and consent of the Legislat ive Council thereof Tha t t h e said F ranc i s Scott shall be and is hereby appointed to he the A g e n t for t he said Colony of New South W a l e s for the period of one year from t h e pass ing of this Act Provided tha t no ins t ruct ions from any Commit tee of Correspondence appointed in t h a t behalf by t he said Council shall be t r ansmi t t ed to the said Agen t after any prorogat ion or dissolution of t he said Council and tha t every such Commit tee shall be appointed in conformity with the S tanding Orders duly prepared and adopted by t h e said Council and approved by the Governor of t he said Colony under and by v i r tue of the provisions of an Ac t of Pa r l i amen t passed in t he fifth and s ixth years of t h e reign

of H e r present Majesty Queen Victoria in t i tu led ' ; An Act for the
