Determination under section 44-8A

I, CHRISTOPHER PYNE, Minister for Ageing, acting under paragraph 44-8A(3)(b) of the Aged Care Act 1997 (“the Act”), REVOKE, immediately before 1 July 2007, Determination ACA Ch.3 No. 11/2006 made on 28 June 2006 and DETERMINE, commencing on 1 July 2007, that the amount of CHARGE EXEMPT RESIDENT SUPPLEMENT for a particular day:

1. where the charge exempt resident is not an assisted resident for that day, is $17.23; or

1. where the charge exempt resident is an assisted resident for that day, is $10.14.

Note: The expressions “charge exempt resident” and “assisted resident” are defined the Aged Care Act 1997 (see Dictionary in Schedule 1 to the Act).
