Part 1Preliminary1Name

This instrument is the Age Discrimination Regulations 2020.

2Commencement

1. (1)

   Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

This instrument is made under the Age Discrimination Act 2004.

4Definitions

In this instrument:

Act means the Age Discrimination Act 2004.

Part 2Exemptions5Exemptions

1. (1)

   For the purposes of item 8 of the table in Schedule 1 to the Act, the Airports (Control of On‑Airport Activities) Regulations 1997 are prescribed.

2. (2)

   For the purposes of item 3AA of the table in Schedule 2 to the Act, sections 23 and 88 of the Defence Regulation 2016 are prescribed.
