An Act to amend the laws necessitating the Publication of Aduer-

tisements in Newspapers published in South Australia.

[Assented to, 19th December, 1867.3

XIEREAS it is desirable to amend the laws now in force in the Pr"mble.

W Province of South Australia, relating to the insertion of

advertisements in newspapers-Be it therefore enacted by the Go-

vernor-in-Chief of the Province of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Ilegislativc Council and House of Assembly of the said Province, in this present Parliament assernblcd, as follows-

Whenever i t is required, by any law or statute now

in force in Publicationin

the said Province, that any notice, announcement, or information shall besuficientadvertise-

ffovernnaertt Gazette to

be inserted or published in any newspaper or newspapers published in merit-

the said Province, it shall be sufficient to publish such notice, announce-

ment, or information in the South A&ralian Government Gazette

for the period of time or the number of times that the said notice,

announcement, or information is now required to be inserted in such newspaper or newspapers; and such publication in the South A w trulian Government Gazette shall be deemed to be, and shall b ~, a sufficient compliance with any such law or statute: Provided always Proviso

that nothing herein contained shall alter or affect the provisions of

the Electoral Act, No. 20 of 1861.
