ADVANCE TO THE FINANCE MINISTER – SECTION 13 OF APPROPRIATION ACT (No. 1) 2009-2010
I, the Honourable Lindsay Tanner MP, Minister for Finance and Deregulation, being satisfied of the matters set out in subsection 13(1) of Appropriation Act (No. 1) 2009-2010, hereby determine pursuant to subsection 13(2) of that Act, that Schedule 1 of that Act be taken to be amended with the amendment of the appropriation item listed in Column 1, for the Agency listed in Column 2, to be increased by the amount listed in Column 3 as follows:

I note that the additional amount is provided to enable AusAid to meet commitments relating to Australia’s contribution to a global agreement to help developing countries deal with climate change and to Australia’s support of reconstruction efforts in Sri Lanka, including resettlement of internally displaced people.
