Adoption of Children (Amendment) Act 1991

An Act to amend the Adoption of Children Act 1965

[Notified in ACT Gazette S120:  7 November 1991]

The Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory enacts as follows:

Short title

1.  This Act may be cited as the Adoption of Children (Amendment) Act 1991.

Commencement  

2.  This Act commences on the day on which the provisions of the Children’s Services (Amendment) Act (No. 2) 1991 commence.

Principal Act

3.  In this Act, “Principal Act” means the Adoption of Children Act 1965.1

Interpretation

4.  Section 6 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting from the definition of “Director” in subsection (1) “Welfare” and substituting “Family Services”.
