AN ACT to amend the Adoption of Children Act

1896.

[ Assented to 26 November 1984.]

RE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent

Majesty, by and with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council and the Legislative

Assembly of Western Australia, in this present

Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the

same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Adoption of Licti. Principal Short title

Children Amendment Act 1984.

(2) In this Act the Adoption of Children Act 1896 la.mlarY

is referred to as the principal Act.

Section 11.

amended. 2. Section 11 of the principal Act is amended

(a)	by inserting before "The" the subsection designation "(1)";
(b)	by deleting "a Registrar of the Supreme Court or the Registrar of the Family Court, as the case requires" and substituting the following-

" the Registrar of the Family Court ";

and

(c) by inserting the following subsection

(2) The records of any proceedings in the Supreme Court under this Act shall be kept by the Registrar of the Family Court and the Registrar may certify for all purposes any such record or a copy of, or extract from, such a record as if it were a record, copy of a record, or extract from a record, of the Family Court. ".
