An Ordinance to amend the Adoption of Children Ordinance 1965

Short title

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Adoption of Children (Amendment)

Ordinance 1983.'

2. This Ordinance shall come into operation on 1 October 1983.

3. After section 64 of the Adoption of Children Ordinance 19652 the

following sections are inserted:

Power of Minister to determine fees

"64A. The Minister may, by notice in writing published in the Gazette,

determine fees for the purposes of this Ordinance.

Fees payable

"64B. A fee determined under section 64A is payable to the
Commonwealth in relation to the relevant matter specified in the notice
referred to in that section, being a matter in respect of which the Minister may
