An Ordinance to amend the Adoption of Children Ordinance 1965

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Ordinance under the Seat of Government (Administration) Act 1910.

ADOPTION	O F	CHILDREN	( A M E N D M E N T )	ORDINANCE
1979

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Adoption of Children

(Amendment) Ordinance 1979.1

2. Section 65 of the Adoption of Children Ordinance 1965 2 is

amended by adding at the end thereof the following sub-section:

" ( 2 ) The regulations may make provision for the making, correction

or cancellation of entries in the Register of Births kept under the law of the Territory relating to children in respect of whom adoption orders were made under the repealed Ordinances.".
