Adoption Amendment Regulations (No. 2) 2002

1.            Citation

2.           The regulations amended

The amendments in these regulations are to the Adoption
Regulations 1995* .

3.            Regulation 6 amended

(1) Regulation 6 is amended in the Table in the item commencing
"section 21" as follows:

(a)	by deleting "man" and inserting instead — " person ";
(b)	by inserting after "father"

or parent under section 6A of the Artificial Conception

Act 1985

(2) Regulation 6 is amended in the Table in the item
commencing "section 25" by deleting "(1)".

4.            Regulation 50 amended

Regulation 50 is amended by deleting "(iv)" and inserting instead —

5.            Regulation 86 amended

Regulation 86(1)(f) is amended by deleting "the adoptee's birth

father but only if the birth father had provided evidence,
accepted by the Court, by which he admitted he was the father
of the child." and inserting instead —

a birth parent of the adoptee, but only if that
birth parent has admitted parentage and
provided evidence to that effect which has been

accepted by the Court.
