ADMINISTRATIVE DECISIONS TRIBUNAL LEGISLATION

AMENDMENT ACT 1998 No 48—PROCLAMATION

(L.S.) GORDON SAMUELS, Governor.

I. the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales. with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Administrative Decisions Tribunal Legislation Amendment Act 1998 do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 6 October 1998 as the day on which Schedule 1 [1]-[3] and [6]-[8] and Schedule 2.25 to that Act commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this proclamation is to commence certain provisions of the Administrarive

Decisions Tribunal Legislation Amendment Act 1998 that:

( a )

amend the Administrative Decisions Tribunal Act 1997 in respect o f the constitution o f the Tribunal and qualifications for membership and savings and transitional matters (Schedule 1 [1] - [3] and [6]-[8]), and

(b )

amend the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1986 to confer jurisdiction on the Tribunal to review certain decisions made under that Act (Schedule 2.25).
