PROCLAMATION
(L.S.) GORDON SAMUELS, Governor.
I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Administrative Decisions Tribunal Act 1997, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 6 October 1998 as the day on which that Act commences. except for the following:
| (a) | so much of Schedule 1 as relates to the Community Services Division. |
| (b) | Part 1 of Schedule 2. |

EXPLANATORY NOTE
The object of this proclamation is to commence all the provisions of the Administrative
Decisions Tribunal Act 1997 (other than those relating to the establishment and
composition of the Community Services Division of the Tribunal).
in particular. the proclamation commences Part 2 of Schedule 5 to the Act which (in
combination with the proposed commencement of Schedules 2, 3 and 4 to the
Administrative Decisions Legislation Amendment Act 1997 on the same day ) will abolish
the following tribunals and transfer their functions to the Administrative Decisions
Tribunal:

| e | Equal Opportunity Tribunal. |
| e | Legal Services Tribunal. |
| e | Schools Appeals Tribunal. |
| Vetrinary Surgeons Disciplinary Tribunal. |
