Administrative Arrangements Order
I, Vicki Susan O'Halloran, Administrator of the Northern Territory of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, under section 35 of the Interpretation Act 1978 and for the Financial Management Act 1995 and the Public Sector Employment and Management Act 1993, make the following order.
Commencement and application
(1) This order commences on 27 February 2019.
(2) This order has effect subject to any Act.
Revocation of previous orders
Any Administrative Arrangements Order in force immediately before the commencement of this order is revoked.
Agencies for Financial Management Act 1995 and Public Sector Employment and Management Act 1993
An Agency or other body:
(a) listed in Schedule 1, Part 1, is an Agency for:
(i) the Financial Management Act 1995; and
(ii)the Public Sector Employment and Management Act 1993; or
(b)listed in Schedule 1, Part 2, is an Agency for the Financial Management Act 1995 only.
Allotment of Acts, areas of government and Agencies to Ministers
The Minister holding a Ministerial office mentioned in Schedule 2 or 3 is allotted:
(a)general and financial administration of each Act listed in Schedule 2, column 1, and Schedule 3, column 1, for the Ministerial office; and
(b)general and financial responsibility for each area of government listed in Schedule 2, column 2, and Schedule 3, column 2, for the Ministerial office; and
(c)general and financial administration of each Agency specified in Schedule 2 or 3 for the Ministerial office to the extent that administration relates to the Acts and areas of government matters mentioned in paragraphs (a) and (b).
Allotment of Acts and areas of government to Agencies
(1) An Agency listed in Schedule 2 is allotted:
(a)general and financial administration of each Act listed in Schedule 2, column 1, for the Agency; and
(b)general and financial responsibility for each area of government listed in Schedule 2, column 2, for the Agency.
(2)An Agency listed in Schedule 3 is allotted:
(a)financial administration of each Act listed in Schedule 3, column 1, for the Agency; and
(b)financial responsibility for each area of government listed in Schedule 3, column 2, for the Agency.
Provision for new Acts
General or financial administration of any Act not listed in Schedule 2 or 3 is allotted to the Minister and the Agency to the extent of that Minister's or Agency's general or financial responsibility for the area of government listed in Schedule 2 or 3 to which the Act relates.
