Administrative Arrangements (Administrative Changes— Ministers and Public Service Agencies) Order (No 2) 2020

Constitution Act 1902

1      Name of Order

This Order is the Administrative Arrangements (Administrative Changes-Ministers

and Public Service Agencies) Order (No 2) 2020.

2      Commencement

This Order commences at 4 pm on 3 July 2020.

3      Definitions

In this Order—

document means any Act or statutory or other instrument, or any contract or

agreement.

reference to a Minister includes a reference that by or under any Act is to be
construed or treated as a reference to that Minister.

Note. Part 7 of the Constitution Act 1902 and the Interpretation Act 1987 contain definitions and other provisions that affect the interpretation and application of this Order.

4      Construction of references to Premier in certain documents

In any document, other than an Act or statutory instrument, a reference to the Premier is to be construed as a reference to the Special Minister of State, Minister for the Public Service and Employee Relations, Aboriginal Affairs, and the Arts, if used in relation to legislation administered by the Minister.

5      Construction of references to Attorney General, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence

In any document, a reference to the Attorney General, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence is to be construed as a reference to the Special Minister of State, Minister for the Public Service and Employee Relations, Aboriginal Affairs, and the Arts, if used in or in relation to legislation administered by the Minister.

6      Repeal of Administrative Arrangements (Administrative Changes—Ministers and Public Service Agencies) Order 2020

(1) The Administrative Arrangements (Administrative Changes—Ministers and Public

Service Agencies) Order 2020 is repealed.

(2) The repealed Order is taken to have had effect during the period starting on 15 April
2020 and ending at 4 pm on 3 July 2020.

Amendment of Administrative Arrangements (Administrative Changes—Public Service Agencies) Order 2019

Clause 5 Ministers to whom Public Service agencies responsible

Omit “Attorney General, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence” from the second column of the matter relating to the Department of Premier and Cabinet in clause 5(1).

Insert instead “Special Minister of State, Minister for the Public Service and
Employee Relations, Aboriginal Affairs, and the Arts”.
