1Name of regulation

This regulation is the Administrative Appeals Tribunal Amendment (Norfolk Island Land Valuation Decisions) Regulation 2014.

2Commencement

This regulation commences on the day after it is registered.

3Authority

This regulation is made under the Administrative Appeals Tribunal Act 1975.

4Schedule(s)

Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

Schedule 1—Amendments

Administrative Appeals Tribunal Regulations 1976

1  Subclause 1(2) of Part 1 of Schedule 4 (definition of executive member)

Repeal the definition.

2  Subclause 1(2) of Part 1 of Schedule 4

Insert:

Minister has the meaning given by the Norfolk Island Act 1979.

3  Subclause 1(2) of Part 1 of Schedule 4

Insert:

valuer‑general has the meaning given by the Land Valuation Act 2012.

4  Part 2 of Schedule 4 (table items 1, 3, 6, 7, 18, 19, 20, 22, 23 and 25, column headed “Decision maker”)

Omit “executive member”, substitute “Minister”.

5  Part 2 of Schedule 4 (after table item 27)

Insert:

27A A decision under subsection 79(1) of the Land Valuation Act 2012 valuer‑general

6  Part 2 of Schedule 4 (table items 29, 30, 31, 32, 34, 36, 37, 38, 43 and 44, column headed “Decision maker”)

Omit “executive member”, substitute “Minister”.
