An Act to amend and repeal the Administration (Interstate Agreements) Act 1997
The Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory enacts as follows:
Name of Act
This Act is the Administration (Interstate Agreements) Repeal Act 2005.
Commencement
This Act commences on the day after its notification day.
NoteThe naming and commencement provisions automatically commence on the notification day (see Legislation Act, s 75 (1)).
Legislation repealed
The Administration (Interstate Agreements) Act 1997 A1997-115 is repealed.
Administration (Interstate Agreements) Act 1997,
new section 5Ain part 1, insert
5AEnding of application of Act
(1)This Act ceases to apply in relation to interstate agreements and any negotiations for them.
(2)Subsection (1) has effect despite the Legislation Act, section 84 (Saving of operation of repealed and amended laws).
(3)This section is declared to be a law to which the Legislation Act, section 88 (Repeal does not end effect of transitional laws etc) applies.
