as appears in the Schedules hereto, being portions of the park lands now under the cnrc, and control, and management of the Corporation of the City of Adelaide, for the purpose of constructing thereon railway or tramway sidings, sheds and other works for the drainage of the City of Adclaide and its suburbs, and for crecting thereon all necessary buildings, machinery or works in connection with or for the purposes of the Waterworlrs of the said City and its suburbs; and whereas plans showing the said lands haw been deposited in the office of the Surveyor-General, a t Adelaide-Re it therefore Enacted by thc Governor of the Province

of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Legislative

Council and House of Assembly of the said province, in this present

Parliament assembled, as follows:

Commissioner to take

1. Notwithstanding anything contained in the

take posacssion of and use in such manner as may be necessary for the objects intended to be hereby secured, all those pieces or parcels of land, being portion of the Adelaide Park Lands, accbrding as the same arc defineatecl in the said plans, deposited in the office of the

Surveyor-General, at Adelaide, and more particularly described in the first and second Schedule hereto, and upon such land to construct, out of any moneys which have been, or hercafter may be, voted by Parliament for the Adelaide Waterworks or for drainage purposes, such sidings, sheds, buildings and all other necessaly works for carrying out the said respective undertakings.

SCHEDULES REFERRED TO.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

All that portion of the Adelaide Park Lands, bounded as follows:

Commencing at a point on the south-western boundary of the Port Road, seventeen

hundred and seventy-three (1,773) links, in a north-tresterly direction, from where the centre line of the Adelaide and Nairne Railway crosses the said boundary; thence southerly by the eastern boundary of road east of section 2, Hundred of Adelaide, for a distance of twenty chains and sixty-six (2,066) links, thence south- easterly for a distance of two hundred and fifty-seven (257) links, until it meets the north-western corner of the plantation fence, north of the Mile-End Road; thence easterly by the plantation fence for a distance of nine (9) links, or until it cuts the north-western boundary of the Holdfast Bay Railway Reserve; thence north-easterly along the north-western boundary of said reserve, by a line running fifty (50) links, north-west of and parallel to the centre line of the Holdfast Bay Railway, for a distance of one hundred and fifty (150) links, or until it intersects the north-western boundary of the Adelaide and Nairne Railway Reserve; thence in a ncrth-easterly direction, by a curved line, of the radius of twenty-four chains and seventy-five (2,475) links, being the north-western toundary of the said railway reserve, and running at a distance of seventy-five (75) links, from and parallel to the centre line of the Adelaide and Nairne Railway for a distance of seventeen chains and twenty- six (1,726) links, or until it joins the south-western boundary of the Port Road, at a point eighty-eight (88) link^, north-westerly from the ceniae line of the said railway; thence north-westerly along the south-westcrn boundary of the Port Road for a distance of sixteen chains and eighty-five (1,685) links, to the point of com- mencemen t.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

All that portion of the Adelaide Park Lands, bounded as follows :-

the corner now occupied by the Valve House of the Adelaide Waterworks; thence south-westerly, by the south-eastern boundary of the Botanic Road for a distance of six hundred and fifty-two (652) links; thence southerly, through the East Park Lands and ljarallel to the eastern boundary of the Eaet Park Lands, for a distance of four hundred and fifty-two (452) links; thence easterly, at right angles, for a distance of six hundred (600) links to its intersection with the eastern boundary of the East Park Lands; thence northerly for a distance of seven hundred and four (704) links, to the point of commence me^ t.
