Yeoman Aircraft YA-1 Series Aeroplanes

AD/YA-1/8 Wing Structural Fatigue Limitation 8/2022

Applicability:

All models of Yeoman Aircraft YA-1 series aircraft:

a.     with any of serial numbers 101 to 106 inclusive, certificated to a maximum agricultural gross weight of 3250 lbs and with wings exceeding 6500 hours’ time in service.

b.    with any of serial numbers 108 and subsequent certificated to a maximum agricultural gross weight of 3530 lbs and with wings exceeding 5500 hours’ time in service.

Requirement:

Retire wings from service.

Note:  These life limitations assume that the maximum agricultural gross weight is not exceeded. Operators are warned that overweight agricultural operations will have a marked adverse effect upon the fatigue life of the structure.

Compliance:

Within 90 days after the commencement date of this AD, unless previously accomplished.

This AD commences on 29 April 2022.

Background:

This AD is being re-made under Part 39 of the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations 1998 because an example of the aircraft type, for which Australia is the State of Design, has returned to the Australian aircraft register and the AD had previously lapsed due to the Legislation Act 2003.
