AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.001 (1) of CASR. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct an unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

Applicability:

All models of Yeoman Aircraft YA-1 250R with any of serial numbers 1 to 116 which have not carried out the technical requirements of Yeoman Aircraft Service Bulletin (SB) YA1‑SB-010 dated 26 January 1967, as in force on the commencement date of this AD.

Requirement:

Relocate the main fuel filter and auxiliary fuel pump in accordance with the technical requirements of Yeoman Aircraft SB YA1‑SB‑007 dated 11 March 1965, as in force on the commencement date of this AD.

Compliance:

Within 90 days after the commencement date of this AD, unless previously accomplished.

This AD commences on 29 April 2022.

Background:

This AD is being re-made under Part 39 of the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations 1998 because an example of the aircraft type, for which Australia is the State of Design, has returned to the Australian aircraft register and the AD had previously lapsed due to the Legislation Act 2003.
