AD/WHE/3 Amdt 1 Aircraft Tyres - Retreading 4/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 9 April 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD was raised in 1986 against FAA Advisory Circular (AC) AC 145-4, or equivalent document, to ensure that tyres were retreaded to a specification that would maintain the design, test and performance standards specified in original specifications.  Compliance was required at the next retread level advancement after 31 August 1985.

Manufacturers now have in place procedures and controls to ensure appropriate specifications for design, test and performance be applied under their approvals.  Therefore, this AD is no longer required.
