AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/TURMO/3.

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 24 September 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD originally raised in 1971 and again in 1985 against Turbomeca Service Letter (SL) No. 220/71/41 and AD/TURBO-T/5 required a periodic permeability check of the gas generator rear bearing as a provisional application.

Compliance was:  As detailed in the requirement document.

The requirements of the SL have now been included in the Turbomeca Turbo maintenance manual; therefore this AD is no longer required.
