AD/TSA-600/25 Amdt 2 Aft Horizontal/Vertical Stabiliser Attach Fitting Inspection (Cth)
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive (AD) AD/TSA-600/25 Amdt 1 and issues the following AD under subregulation 39.001(1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

Requirement: | If not already installed, install attach fitting flange fastener kit, Piper Kit |

Compliance: | If inspection in accordance with Amendment 1 of this Directive, or Piper SB No. SB600-88A Part I, has previously been performed, before accumulating 200 hours time in service since the inspection was last performed, or before 5 September 2009, whichever occurs later. |

| This Amendment becomes effective on 4 June 2009. | |
Background: | The original issue of this Directive in 1980 specified dye-penetrant inspection in accordance with SB No. SB600-88 at intervals not exceeding 100 hours. |

| Amendment 2 ensures that all affected aircraft have the attach fitting flange fastener kit installed. The periodic inspections are terminated. |
