AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/TPE 331/60.

AlliedSignal (Garrett/AiResearch) Turbine Engines - TPE 331 Series

AD/TPE 331/60 Cycle Life Counting - Special Use Operations 10/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 24 September 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD specified re-assessment of turbine cycles if the aircraft has been used in special-purpose operations (multiple take-off and landings per engine cycle.)  SB No. A72-2111 was applicable.  Compliance was required prior to January 2003.  The AD is no longer required because AD/ENG/7 mandates retirement of lifed engine components.
