AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive (AD) AD/TB10/5 and issues the following AD under subregulation 39.001(1) of CASR 1998.  The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

Aerospatiale (Socata) TB9 and TB10 (Tobago) Series Aeroplanes

AD/TB10/5 Amdt 1 Elevator/Elevator Tab Control Attachment Inspection and Modification 7/2009

Applicability:

All models TB9 and TB10 with serial numbers up to and including 479.

Requirement:

Socata TB SB No. 24, Operation I.

Note:  French AD 1985-43(A) refers.

Compliance:

Before further flight after 22 February 1985.

Compliance with the original issue of this Directive constitutes compliance with this amendment.

This Amendment becomes effective on 2 July 2009.

Background:

The original issue of this Directive in 1985 specified performance of Operation I every 100 hours in accordance with SB No. 24.

This amendment deletes the repetitive inspection in order to match French AD
1985-43(A).
