AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/T53/2.

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 30 July 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD was originally raised in1971 and again in 1986 (with no changes) against Lycoming Product Support Service Bulletin (SB) No.0003 Rev 5 and AD/LYC-T/2B specifying retirement life of first stage power turbine rotor blade retaining pins.

Compliance was 30 November 1973.

The requirements for the replacement of life limited turbine engine components are contained in AD/ENG/7; therefore this AD is no longer required.
