AD/T53/10 Inlet Guide Vane Feedback Tube Assembly Inspection Cancelled (Cth)
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/T53/10.
AlliedSignal (Lycoming) Turbine Engines - T53 Series
| AD/T53/10 | Inlet Guide Vane Feedback Tube Assembly - Inspection | 8/2009 |
Requirement: | CANCELLED. |
| This AD is cancelled on 30 July 2009. | |
Background: | This unique Australian AD was originally raised in1973 and again in 1986 (with no changes) against Lycoming Field Service Bulletin (SB) No.0029 and AD/LYC-T/11 requiring a one-time inspection and possible repair of inlet guide vane feedback tube. Compliance was as detailed in requirement document; which was: 1. No later than 25 operating hours or next airframe intermediate inspection, whichever occurs first, on installed engines. 2. Before shipment of engines now in process in all overhaul facilities. 3. Before installation of replacement engine or feedback tube assembly. This AD has been sufficiently promulgated for the affected engines to have been inspected and repaired by now; therefore this AD is considered to be no longer required. |
