AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/SWSA226/9.

Fairchild (Swearingen) SA226 and SA227 Series Aeroplanes

AD/SWSA226/9 Main Landing Gear Uplock
Roller - Inspection and Modification
6/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 4 June 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD raised in 1973 against Swearingen Service Bulletin (SB) SB 30-10-3028 required an inspection, and possible modification, of the main landing gear uplock roller bracket to ensure proper seating of the bolt head and nut.

Compliance was:  Within 100 hours TIS after 28 February 1973.

This AD has been sufficiently promulgated for the affected aircraft to have been inspected and modified by now; therefore this AD is considered to be no longer required.
