AD/SWSA226/54 Placard Use of Reverse Thrust Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/SWSA226/54.

AD/SWSA226/54 Placard - Use of Reverse Thrust 6/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 4 June 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, raised in 1987 against Hartzell Service Bulletin (SB) 153, required a modification by installation of a placard in a suitable position in the cockpit with the words "Until propellers are modified to Hartzell SB 153, avoid use of full reverse pitch".

Compliance was:  By 30 October 1987.

This AD has been sufficiently promulgated for the affected aircraft to have been modified by now; therefore this AD is no longer required.
