AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/SWSA226/51 Amdt 1.

Fairchild (Swearingen) SA226 and SA227 Series Aeroplanes

AD/SWSA226/51 Amdt 1 Fuel Booster Pump Wiring Harness 6/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 4 June 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD raised in 1991 against Fairchild Aircraft Corporation Service Bulletins (SB) SB 226-28-011 and 227-28-002 required replacement of fuel booster pump wiring harness and booster pump wiring modification to preclude the possibility of an electrical short in the fuel booster pump wiring in the area of the fuel hopper tank.

Compliance was:  The compliance with the original issue of this Directive was
30 June 1986.  This reissue is effective from 11 July 1991.

This AD has been sufficiently promulgated for the affected aircraft to have been modified by now; therefore this AD is considered to be no longer required.
