AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/SWSA226/50 Amdt 1.

Fairchild (Swearingen) SA226 and SA227 Series Aeroplanes

AD/SWSA226/50 Amdt 1 Aileron Control Cables 6/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 4 June 2009.

Background:

This AD, raised in 1986 against Fairchild Aircraft Corporation Service Bulletin (SB) SB 227-27-015, required an inspection to ensure that no wear existed as a result of contact between the aileron control cable and aileron trim tab cable pulleys.  Compliance was required within 200 hours TIS after 30 September 1986 or at the next scheduled check B after 30 September 1986, whichever occurred first.

As all affected aircraft would have been inspected, and, if necessary, modified long ago, this AD is no longer required.
