AD/SWSA226/33 Elevator Mass Balance Weights Inspection Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/SWSA226/33.

AD/SWSA226/33 Elevator Mass Balance Weights - Inspection 6/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 4 June 2009.

Background:

This AD, raised in 1981 against Fairchild Swearingen Service Bulletin (SB) 27-029, required an inspection to ensure that the mass balance weight was firmly attached to the elevator.  Compliance was required within 120 hours TIS after 31 August 1981.

As all affected aircraft would have been inspected, and, if necessary, modified long ago, this AD is no longer required.
