AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/SWSA226/31.

Fairchild (Swearingen) SA226 and SA227 Series Aeroplanes

AD/SWSA226/31 Aileron Control Cable
Installation - Inspection
6/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 4 June 2009.

Background:

This AD, raised in 1980 against Swearingen Alert Service Bulletin (ASB) SB
A27-025, required an inspection for possible misrouting of the aileron control cable within the pilots control column.  Compliance was required within next 50 flight hours or at next regular scheduled inspection whichever came first.

As all affected aircraft would have been inspected, and, if necessary, modified long ago, this AD is no longer required.
