AD/SWSA226/22 Amdt 1 Elevator Quadrant Inspection Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/SWSA226/22 Amdt 1.

AD/SWSA226/22 Amdt 1 Elevator Quadrant - Inspection 6/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 4 June 2009.

Background:

This AD, raised in 1978 against Swearingen Service Note (SN) No. 062 Rev.1, required an inspection of the elevator quadrant to ensure it was free of nicks, tool marks or cast chippings.  Compliance was required at intervals not exceeding 200 hours TIS until replaced by newly designed part.

As all affected aircraft would have been inspected, and, if necessary, modified long ago, this AD is no longer required.
