AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/SWSA226/18.

Fairchild (Swearingen) SA226 and SA227 Series Aeroplanes

AD/SWSA226/18 Stabiliser Trim Disconnect
Controls - Modification
6/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 4 June 2009.

Background:

This AD, raised in 1974 against Swearingen Alert Service Bulletin (SB) SB
A22-10-2059, -3063 and -4062, required a modification to ensure that stabilizer trim could be quickly disconnected in the event of an autopilot induced stabilizer trim malfunction.  Compliance was required within 100 hours TIS after 30 August 1974.

As all affected aircraft would have been modified long ago, this AD is no longer required.
