AD/SWSA226/16 Aileron Balance Weight Attachment Bolts Inspection Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/SWSA226/16.

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 4 June 2009.

Background:

This AD, raised in 1973, against Swearingen Service Bulletins (SB) 27-10-2052,
-3057 and -4057, required an inspection of the aileron mass balance weight attachment bolts to ensure that they were not too short.  Compliance was required within 100 hours TIS after 31 January 1974.

As all affected aircraft would have been inspected, and, if necessary, modified long ago, this AD is no longer required.
