AD/SWSA226/12 Rudder Bellcranks Inspection Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/SWSA226/12.

Fairchild (Swearingen) SA226 and SA227 Series Aeroplanes

AD/SWSA226/12 Rudder Bellcranks - Inspection 6/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 4 June 2009.

Background:

This AD, raised in 1973 against Swearingen Service Bulletin (SB) 27-20-3040, required the rudder bellcranks to be tested for hardness.  Compliance was required within 10 hours TIS after 27 August 1973.

As all affected aircraft would have been inspected, and, if necessary, modified long ago, this AD is no longer required.
