AD/SWSA226/1 Frame Splices Inspection Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/SWSA226/1.

AD/SWSA226/1 Frame Splices - Inspection 6/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 4 June 2009.

Background:

This AD, raised in 1971 against Swearingen Service Bulletin (SB) 53-10-3003, required an inspection of frame splices that may have been installed in an incorrectly heat treated state.  Compliance was required within 100 hours TIS after 30 July 1971.

As all affected aircraft would have been inspected, and, if necessary, modified long ago, this AD is no longer required.
