AD/SM-260/5 Carburettor Air Intake Box and Engine Cowling Drain Holes Modification Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/SM-260/5.

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 30 July 2009.

Background:

This AD, raised in 1972 against SIAI Marchetti Service Bulletin (SB) SB No. 260B9, required a modification by drilling fuel drain holes on the lower side of the engine cowling and carburettor air intake box.  Compliance was required within 100 hours TIS after 28 April 1972.

As all affected aircraft would have been modified long ago, this AD is no longer required.
