AD/SM-260/2 Stabiliser Front Spar Modification Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/SM-260/2.

AD/SM-260/2 Stabiliser Front Spar - Modification 8/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 30 July 2009.

Background:

This AD, raised in 1970 against SIAI Marchetti Service Bulletin (SB) SB No. 260B1, required a modification by installation of a reinforcing plate in the centre section of the horizontal stabiliser front spar.  Compliance was required forthwith.

As all affected aircraft would have been modified long ago, this AD is no longer required.
