AD/SC7/6 Guards at Rear of Pilots Seats Installation Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/SC7/6.

AD/SC7/6 Guards at Rear of Pilots Seats - Installation 7/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 2 July 2009.

Background:

This AD, raised in 1971 against Shorts Service Bulletin (SB) SB 25-56, required a modification to ensure that mechanical controls in pilot's seat pedestal were fully guarded.  Compliance was required within 100 hours TIS after 30 July 1971, or before 30 September 1971, whichever occurred first.

As all affected aircraft would have been modified long ago, this AD is no longer required.
