AD/SC7/27 Amdt 4 Fatigue Life Limitations on Aircraft Subjected to Special Flight Profiles (Cth)
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive (AD) AD/SC7/27 Amdt 3 and issues the following AD under subregulation 39.001(1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

Applicability: | Model SC7 series aircraft, serial numbers SH 1883, SH 1845, SH 1847, SH 1889, SH 1943, and SH 1960. |

Background: | This Directive was issued in response to the manufacturer specifying special fatigue life limitations based on continuous flight profile data provided by the operators. Amendment 1 added fatigue life information for additional aircraft. Amendment 2 corrected aircraft flight hour figures. Amendment 3 introduced revised life limits for aircraft SH1845. Amendment 4 is issued in response to the latest revision of the Requirement document, which introduces a new life limit for aircraft SH 1845 and clarifies actions required on accomplishment of SB 57-59 re. “Special Inspections” additional actions. The original issue of this Airworthiness Directive became effective on 9 October 1997. |
