AD/S-76/53 Doors Window Frame Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/S-76/53.

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 2 July 2009.

Background:

This AD, raised in 1988 against Sikorsky Alert Service Bulletin (ASB) 76-52-12, required an inspection for scoring of the passenger and/or cockpit door upper door lock control rod caused by screws and/or rivets securing the mounts for the window trim.  Compliance was required prior to the issue of the next maintenance release after 3 November 1988.

As all affected aircraft would have been inspected, and, if necessary, modified long ago, this AD is no longer required.
