AD/S-76/28 Utility Hoist Inspection Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/S-76/28.

AD/S-76/28 Utility Hoist - Inspection 7/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 2 July 2009.

Background:

This AD, raised in 1983 against Sikorsky Alert Service Bulletin (ASB) 76-25-5 (143), required a one-time inspection for damage to the utility hoist cables due manufacturer reports of partial separation of the end flange from the drum.  Compliance was required before next operation of the utility hoist after 29 March 1983.

As all affected aircraft would have been inspected, and, if necessary, modified long ago, this AD is no longer required.
