AD/S-76/20 Power Plant Mounting Supports Inspection and Modification Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/S-76/20.

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 2 July 2009.

Background:

This AD, raised in 1981 against Sikorsky Customer Service Bulletin (CSB) 76-71-6, required an inspection and modification of power plant mounting supports following manufacturer reports of entrapped water causing corrosion in the tubes of the support assemblies.  Compliance was required within 100 hours TIS after 31 August 1981.

As all affected aircraft would have been inspected, and, if necessary, modified long ago, this AD is no longer required.
