AD/S-76/18 Pilot and Co-Pilot Seats, Support Frames Inspection Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/S-76/18.

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 2 July 2009.

Background:

This AD, raised in 1981 against Sikorsky Customer Service Notice (CSN) 76-63 and AMI Industries Service Bulletin (SB) No. 25-S76-1, required an inspection of pilot and co-pilot seats on manufacturer advice that some seats may have defective tube support members.  Compliance was required by 9 May 1981.

As all affected aircraft would have been inspected, and, if necessary, modified long ago, this AD is no longer required.
