AD/Rutan/1 Rudder Travel Modification Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/RUTAN/1.

AD/RUTAN/1 Rudder Travel - Modification 7/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 2 July 2009.

Background:

This AD required a modification to all models of Rutan aeroplanes to reduce rudder travel following manufacturer’s flight testing that established that under certain circumstances the aircraft experiences loss of control.  Compliance was required before further flight.

As all affected aircraft would have been modified long ago, this AD is no longer required.
