AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/ROCK-114/7.

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 25 September 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, raised in 1978 against Rockwell International Service Letter (SL) No. SL-114-11, required a modification to prevent loss of attachment of the main landing gear retract cylinder if bearing becomes loose in cylinder end, and rotation of rod end nut on nose landing gear and main landing gear retract cylinders.

Compliance was within 100 hours TIS after 30 June 1978.

As and all affected aircraft would have been modified by now, this AD is considered to be no longer required.
