AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/ROCK-114/11.

Gulfstream (Rockwell) 114 Series Aeroplanes

AD/ROCK-114/11 Rudder Rib Inspection 9/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 28 August 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, raised in 1982 against Gulfstream American Service Bulletin (SB) No. SB-114-20, required an inspection and modification due to possible cracks in rudder tip rib at the balance weight attachment hole.  Compliance was required before further flight and thereafter at intervals not exceeding 100 hours TIS until modified.  As the area of inspection is adequately addressed by standard maintenance schedules and practices, and all affected aircraft would have been inspected and modified by now, this AD is no longer required.
