AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/RES/6.

Restraint Equipment

AD/RES/6 Safety Belts - Mills ME 2402 and
ME 2402T - Inspection and Rectification
4/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 9 April 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD was raised in 1971 requiring a periodic inspection and rectification of all Mills ME 2402 and ME 2402T passenger safety belts following publication of a CAA (UK) Airworthiness Notice which has since been cancelled.  Compliance was required within one month after 30 June 1971, and thereafter at intervals not exceeding one month or 350 hours TIS.

As no record of this defect has been entered in the mandatory reporting system, and these safety belts are likely to have been replaced long ago, this AD is no longer required.
