Restraint Equipment

AD/RES/17 Amdt 1 American Safety Equipment Lap
Belt/Shoulder Harness and/or Crotch Strap Buckle/Adaptor - Inspection and Modification
4/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 9 April 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD was raised in 1984 against American Safety Equipment Corporation Service Bulletin (SB) No. CP-1003 requiring an inspection and modification of shoulder harness and/or crotch strap buckle due interference between and buckle and cover preventing proper release of the buckle.

Compliance was required within 100 hours TIS after 31 July 1984 or at the next scheduled inspection for maintenance release issue after 31 July 1984 whichever was the later.

As all affected aircraft would have been inspected, and, if necessary, modified long ago, this AD is no longer required.
